Rabbi Hanania Abisror, born in 1951 in Marrakech, Morocco, is a distinguished spiritual leader dedicated to strengthening Jewish communities and preserving Torah values. His Torah journey began at Yeshivat Or Yosef in France and Yeshivat Etz Chaim in Tangiers.
In 1966, he was among 20 Moroccan boys brought to the Mirrer Yeshiva in Brooklyn, where he studied under renowned Torah scholars, including Rabbi Shraga Moshe Kalmanowitz. The humility, kindness, and devotion he absorbed there shaped his lifelong service.
A pillar of the community, Rabbi Abisror is known for his warmth and dedication to Torah education. His contributions earned him the prestigious Rabbi Shraga Moshe Kalmanowitz Award, recognizing his enduring impact on Jewish learning and leadership.
