Rabbi Hanania

Rabbi Hanania Abisror, born in 1951 in Marrakech, Morocco, is a distinguished spiritual leader dedicated to strengthening Jewish communities and preserving Torah values. His Torah journey began at Yeshivat Or Yosef in France and continued at Yeshivat Etz Chaim in Tangiers.
In 1966, he was among 20 Moroccan boys brought to the Mirrer Yeshiva in Brooklyn, where he studied under renowned Torah scholars, including Rabbi Shraga Moshe Kalmanowitz. The humility, kindness, and devotion he absorbed there shaped his lifelong service.
A pillar of the community, Rabbi Abisror is known for his warmth and dedication to Torah education and acts of kindness. His contributions earned him the prestigious Ahavas Yisrael Award from the Chafetz Chaim Heritage Foundation and the Rabbi Shraga Moshe Kalmanowitz Award from his alma mater, the Mirrer Yeshiva in Brooklyn, recognizing his enduring impact on Jewish learning and leadership.
Rabbi Abisror is the visionary behind Bridges of Hope, an initiative he established with a deep commitment to supporting Jewish communities worldwide. Inspired by the three pillars of Judaism—Torah, Avoda (prayer), and Gemilut Chasadim (acts of kindness)—he created a platform where generous donors can contribute to meaningful causes, ensuring that help reaches those in need. Through innovation and compassion, Bridges of Hope continues to make a lasting impact on Jewish lives globally.
